\u201cCAN YOU SEA IT?\u201d is designed for students in grades 5-6 (can be adapted to grades 2-8). In this program students investigate several modules designed to help them become aware of the rich and diverse natural history of the Northern California coastal environment. Students get exposed to the amazing world of life in a tide pool in the module \u201cExplore A Tide Pool.\u201d In \u201cBlubber, Flippers, and Blowholes,\u201d students learn about the special designs and biology of marine mammals. Marine algae, its identification and uses, is the focus of \u201cSeaweed Ice Cream.\u201d \u201cGiants and Pygmies\u201d introduces students to the common trees and shrubs of the temperate rainforest. Other modules include \u201cYou Have No Backbone,\u201c \u201cBeaks, Feet, and Feathers,\u201d and \u201cSlime, Scales, and Fins.\u201d<\/p>\n
