SCIENCE EXPLORATIONS – LIFE SCIENCE LABS – GRADES 4-6

Science Explorations Lab Course consists of a series (12) of 60-minute middle school (grades 4-6) laboratory experiences. The course is designed for students who have some background in science. The activities in this course focus on an introduction to the Life sciences and provide students an opportunity to participate in qualitative and quantitative observations. This series of laboratory experiences is designed to meet the appropriate California NGSS and California Science Content Standards (grades 4-6) in life sciences. Each lab is a hands-on experience designed to stimulate student interest in science and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts and processes. Students gain practice in variety of science skills including observation, prediction, classification, recording and analysis of data, evaluating, applying, and problem solving.

Cost: $560.00/student ($280.00/semester or $70.00/month Sept-April)

Science Investigations Lab course consists of a series (12) of 60-minute junior high school level (grades 7-8) laboratory experiences. The course is designed for students who have a background in general sciences. The activities in this course focus on the Physical sciences and provide students an opportunity to participate in qualitative and quantitative observations. This series of laboratory experiences is designed to meet the appropriate California NGSS and California Science Content Standards (grades 7-8) in physical science. Each lab is a hands-on experience designed to stimulate student interest in science and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts and processes. Students gain practice in variety of science skills including observation, prediction, classification, recording and analysis of data, evaluating, applying, and problem solving.

Cost: $560.00/student ($280.00/semester or $70.00/month Sept-April)

GENERAL BIOLOGY LAB – GRADES 9-11

General Biology Lab* consists of a series (12) of 90-minute secondary level (grades 9 & 10) laboratory experiences. The course is designed for students who have an elementary background in life sciences. The activities in this course provide students an opportunity to participate in qualitative and quantitative observations. This series of laboratory experiences is designed to meet the appropriate California NGSS and California Science Content Standards (grades 9-11) in biology. Each lab is a hands-on experience designed to stimulate student interest in science and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts and processes. Students gain practice in variety of science skills including observation, prediction, classification, recording and analysis of data, evaluating, applying, and problem solving.

Cost: $760.00/student $380.00/semester or $95.00/month Sept-April)
